When Uber was built they brought in lots of 3rd party software to save them time. They used google maps for GPS, Twilio for Text notifications, Braintree for payment processing and Sendgrid for automating email campaigns. Why, well there is no point competing with Google for example, so if you can’t beat them, join them.
